Gone are the days when fashionable women hoped to make their butts look as small as possible—while many of us remember this fad, it was a historical anomaly. It’s long been thought that having some substance to your backside is a good thing! A full, round buttocks represents a strong, healthy body, looks great in jeans, and contributes to a more shapely, feminine silhouette.

While naturally curvier women rejoice, getting a shapely derriere is easier said than done for those not blessed with the greatest “assets.” This has led many women (and men too!) to try countless workouts, diets and other gimmicks in the quest for a bigger booty. Some of them work, some of them do nothing, and some are just a bad idea—and knowing which is which can be confusing.

Lucky for us, we have some of the most skilled body contouring experts on the west coast right here at Surgical Arts of the Inland Empire. Dr. Jacob Haiavy and Dr. Emma Ryan are highly experienced in buttock enhancement and have helped patients with even the flattest of rear ends get curves they love. So we asked them, how can you get a fuller butt? Here’s what they have to say.

Dr. Ryan: exercises can make your butt bigger, but…

“I can appreciate and even recommend implementing a strength training routine to build up the glutes—done correctly and consistently, exercises that focus on the butt can help your rear end get tighter, look better, and maybe get bigger. However, genetics will put a cap on just how much muscle you can add to your butt, and no amount of exercise can dramatically reshape your current curves—only surgical body contouring can do that.

That said, there are other benefits to having a strong butt that make it worthwhile to hit the gym: improved sports performance, better posture, and a reduced risk for back injury. For maximum results, hire a qualified personal trainer, who can show you how to do the right exercises safely and effectively.”

Dr. Haiavy: Forget about butt enhancement pills and creams.

“There seems to be a pill for everything, even for “magically” growing a butt. As a physician, these products make me cringe. Most are mixtures of herbs, oils, and other ingredients that do little except drain the consumer’s wallet.

For those that do have any effect, that effect is usually temporary—for instance, creams that help the skin feel a bit firmer for a little while may give the impression that the butt has gotten a “boost.” Some butt enhancement pills contain appetite stimulants, which could possibly help you gain volume in your butt—but you’ll gain weight elsewhere, too.

It’s also important to remember that these products are not FDA approved and may not contain what is printed on the label in any consistent amount. This leaves the door open for products to do harm. For instance, one such pill contains Dong Quai extract, which contains known carcinogens and could be unsafe in large quantities.

For safe, effective buttock enhancement, go to an experienced cosmetic surgeon, not Amazon.”

There are several procedures that fall under the umbrella of body contouring surgery that we can use to reshape the lower body and enhance the butt:

  • Vaser 4D Hi-Def Liposuction. Sometimes a rounder, more aesthetically pleasing butt is best achieved by simply taking fat away from the surrounding areas. With VASER 4D liposuction, we can remove excess fat from the lower back, hips, and thighs with extreme precision to sculpt a beautiful “frame” for the buttocks, which will accentuate your natural curves.
  • Brazilian butt lift surgery. This popular and highly effective procedure takes VASER lipo one step further. We purify fat removed with liposuction, and then strategically inject some of it back into the buttocks in specific points to enhance their size and shape. This procedure works best on patients with good skin contraction who also have enough excess fat to harvest for the fat injections (which is most of us).
  • Lower body lift. If you have undergone significant weight loss and your butt is flat and sagging as a result, a personalized body lifting procedure can be a great option to remove the excess skin, lift sagging tissues, and restore a smoother, firmer buttock contour. In many cases, a skilled cosmetic surgeon can combine liposuction and/or fat injections with a lower body lift to achieve an optimal improvement in shape.”

What to Expect During Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery

While every patient heals at their own pace, here’s a general timeline for what most of our patients experience:

The first 2-3 weeks require the most significant lifestyle adjustments. You’ll need to avoid sitting directly on your buttocks to protect the newly transferred fat cells and maximize results. Most patients use special BBL pillows that transfer weight to the thighs when sitting becomes absolutely necessary. Sleeping on your stomach or sides during this period is essential. You’ll also wear a compression garment around the clock to reduce swelling in the liposuction areas and support optimal healing.

By weeks 3-4, you’ll notice dramatic improvements in comfort and mobility. Many patients return to modified desk work during this period, and sitting tolerance gradually increases. Light walking is encouraged from day one and helps promote healthy circulation.

Most patients can resume normal daily activities and light exercise by 6-8 weeks post-surgery. However, your final results won’t be visible until 3-6 months after your procedure, once swelling has completely resolved and the transferred fat cells have fully integrated. This “fluffing phase” often brings pleasant surprises as your contours continue to improve and soften naturally.

During your consultation at Inland Cosmetic Surgery, we’ll provide detailed, personalized recovery instructions tailored to your specific procedure and lifestyle needs.

How Long Do Brazilian Butt Lift Results Last?

Unlike temporary fillers that require repeat treatments, the fat cells that survive the transfer process become a permanent part of your body.

Typically, 60-80% of the transferred fat remains for life. These fat cells behave just like the fat cells in their original location; they’ll naturally fluctuate slightly with weight changes but maintain their new shape and position. Most patients enjoy their BBL results for decades with proper care.

Maintaining your results is straightforward: keep your weight stable within 10-15 pounds of your post-surgical weight, maintain a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, and avoid smoking, which can compromise circulation and healing. The transferred fat cells that survive past the first 3-6 months are considered permanent and will age naturally with your body.

At Inland Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Haiavy and Dr. Ryan use advanced fat transfer techniques that maximize fat survival and long-term retention, ensuring you get beautiful, lasting results from your Brazilian butt lift investment.

Semaglutide has proven to be an effective solution for those struggling with weight management, and we are pleased to offer this advanced weight loss treatment overseen by our team of Rancho Cucamonga cosmetic surgeons at Ahava Medspa and Made You Look. Below, we share the skinny on this game-changer for medical weight loss and answer FAQs about semaglutide weight loss injections.

What is semaglutide, and how does it work?

Semaglutide was initially developed to manage diabetes, with patients and physicians alike noting its weight loss effects since 2005. This medication is now FDA-approved for weight management and works by mimicking a hormone called GLP-1, which regulates appetite and food intake.

Essentially, you’ll feel fuller for longer and with fewer calories when taking semaglutide. The lower calorie intake leads to weight loss and helps you become more aware of your eating habits as your body gently adjusts to healthier portions.

Patients who continue mindful eating habits after taking semaglutide can enjoy long-term weight management success.

How effective is semaglutide for weight loss?

A 68-week clinical study on the effectiveness of semaglutide showed impressive weight loss outcomes:

  • Half of the participants lost 15% of their body weight
  • About one-third of participants lost 20% of their body weight
  • The average total body weight loss was 14.6%

What is the recommended dosage of semaglutide?

The starting dose of semaglutide is typically 0.25 mg once a week for the first four weeks, followed by incremental increases to reach 2.4 mg; however, the dosage may vary based on patient needs. Gradually increasing the dosage to an optimal level balances effectiveness while minimizing potential side effects as your body adjusts to the medication.

Is semaglutide the same as insulin?

No, semaglutide stimulates healthy insulin production, whereas insulin replaces the body’s insufficient insulin. Both regulate blood sugar levels.

How long should I take semaglutide?

The duration of your semaglutide treatments depends on your weight loss goals, how well your body tolerates the medication, and medical guidance. Many patients achieve their health and wellness goals in as little as 3 months, while others need more time to see the desired changes. Studies have shown that patients can safely take semaglutide for two years or longer.

During your consultation, we will estimate your treatment time and evaluate that timeline as we track your results.

What happens when I stop taking semaglutide?

When you stop taking semaglutide, you’ll gradually notice your natural appetite returning as the medication leaves your system over about 5 weeks. This is why the habits you build during treatment are so important for long-term success.

Clinical studies show that patients who discontinue semaglutide without maintaining healthy lifestyle habits typically regain a significant portion of their weight loss. However, those who continue the mindful eating patterns, regular exercise, and nutrition habits they developed during treatment can maintain much of their progress.

We don’t recommend stopping semaglutide abruptly. If you’re considering discontinuing treatment, we’ll work with you to create a tapering plan and transition strategy. This might include gradually reducing your dose while strengthening your nutrition and exercise routines, ensuring you’re set up for long-term success even after stopping the medication. Many patients also choose to continue maintenance doses long-term to sustain their results.

What are the side effects of semaglutide?

Semaglutide is generally well-tolerated, with the most common side effects including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, and burping. These effects are typically mild and resolve as your body becomes accustomed to the medication. Other adverse side effects can occur, so it is imperative to choose a highly qualified provider who can determine if semaglutide is safe for you and personalize your dosage for a more comfortable treatment experience.

How is semaglutide administered?

Our patients receive their first semaglutide injection in our office, and the remaining once-a-week injections can be self-administered at home. We will confirm that you feel confident with the quick self-injections at your visit. We recommend alternating injection sites between your abdomen, thighs, and upper arms to prevent tenderness.

Who is eligible for semaglutide?

You are likely a good candidate for weight loss injections if you are a relatively healthy adult with a BMI of 27 or greater. We would be happy to meet with you to evaluate your needs and determine if you would benefit from our medical weight loss program.

How much does semaglutide cost?

The cost of semaglutide varies based on whether you’re using brand-name medications or compounded versions, which are typically more affordable. Brand-name semaglutide can cost $1,200-$1,500 per month without insurance coverage.

Insurance coverage for semaglutide varies significantly by plan. Some insurance companies cover semaglutide for diabetes management but not for weight loss, while others may require prior authorization or proof of medical necessity. During your consultation at Ahava Medspa or Made You Look, we’ll discuss pricing options and help you navigate insurance coverage to make your treatment as affordable as possible.

Can you exercise while taking semaglutide?

Absolutely! Exercise enhances semaglutide’s effectiveness and further improves other weight-related health markers such as blood pressure. Further, maintaining a more active lifestyle will help you keep the weight off after you stop taking semaglutide.

  • Aerobic activities like brisk walking, bike riding, and swimming are excellent ways to get moving, especially if you haven’t yet found a workout routine you love.
  • Strength training exercises such as lifting weights or using resistance bands help build and preserve muscle, which plays a significant role in metabolism and weight control.

We recommend a balanced exercise regimen tailored to your fitness level and health status—start your exercise regimen gently and progressively increase the intensity and time spent exercising.

Why is a managed protocol needed for semaglutide?

Like any prescribed medication, it’s essential that you work closely with your provider to ensure your body is responding as expected and your results are ideal. Choosing a reputable provider promotes safety, effectiveness, and individualized treatment based on your health profile and goals.

How quickly will I lose weight on semaglutide?

Most patients experience notable weight loss between 8-12 weeks after consistent semaglutide injections, with some noticing weight loss in as few as 4 weeks.

Some patients notice weight changes soon after starting the medication, while others may see slower progress.

Can I use semaglutide to lose a small amount of weight?

No, semaglutide is a long-acting medication designed to be used over several months, so it is best suited for significant weight loss needs.

If you are looking for a solution to treat localized pockets of fat, such as “love handles,” “saddle bags,” or a “double chin,” liposuction is highly effective at removing stubborn fat in targeted areas. Learn how it works »

Do I have to diet and exercise while taking semaglutide?

While massive lifestyle changes aren’t necessarily required, choosing more whole, nutrient-dense foods and physical activity are highly encouraged to see more significant weight loss and improve your overall health.

Combining semaglutide with a healthy diet and exercise maximizes results.

What foods should I avoid while on semaglutide?

To experience faster, greater weight loss with semaglutide, we recommend limiting sugar, processed foods, and fried or fatty foods. Fruits such as mangoes, bananas, and pineapple are high-glycemic (carbohydrates that are quickly digested and cause insulin spikes) and should be limited as well. The same goes for corn and potatoes!

It’s also wise to avoid alcohol and cut back on excessive caffeine, as these substances can affect your blood sugar and irritate the stomach.

What foods should I include in my nutrition plan?

Lean proteins like skinless chicken breast, white fish, lean cuts of meat, or plant-based proteins are great options, along with complex carbs like whole wheat, quinoa, and brown rice. Low-glycemic fruits and veggies such as berries, grapefruit, leafy greens, and lentils are also good choices. Whole foods can also help lessen the intensity and duration of temporary side effects of semaglutide!

Model Sheyla Hershey

A Brazilian model with the largest breasts in the world is experiencing complications following her latest breast surgery, according to Fox News in Houston.

Sheyla Hershey suffered her first complication after more than 30 plastic surgeries, when a severe staph infection reached both of her breasts following her recent breast augmentation procedure in Brazil. In 2009, she was a 38KKK and received the Brazilian equivalent of the Guinness Book of World Records award for her chest size.

Hershey, who lives in Houston, said her surgeon told her she should be concerned for her life because the infection could leak into her bloodstream. She has had to give herself infusions of intravenous antibiotics every twelve hours to fight the infection.

To avoid complications, Dr. Michael Will, a cosmetic surgeon near Washington D.C. and president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery,  says that breast augmentation procedures should be preceded by a comprehensive consultation between the cosmetic surgeon and the patient, where the patient’s concerns and expectations are discussed in relation to the patient’s breast and chest wall anatomy.

“An effective evaluation and treatment plan should result in a post-operative outcome that reaches a balance between the patient’s expectations and the surgeon’s surgical and anatomical limitations to yield an esthetic and healthy outcome. When the surgical tissue tension and stress exceed the capacity for normal healing, wound breakdown and infection often develop,” he says.

However, according to Dr. Will, infections related to breast augmentation are rare; when the are encountered, “the implants frequently need to be removed and replaced at a later date.”

Recent 2024-2025 research confirms Dr. Will’s assessment, with infection rates averaging between 1-4% in primary breast augmentation when modern sterile techniques and appropriate antibiotics are used. These rates are significantly lower than those seen in revision surgeries or procedures performed in non-accredited facilities.

According to her website www.sheylahershey.net, an update on July 24 says that Hershey is “doing fine although she is still getting treatment.”

2024-2025 Safety Update: How Breast Augmentation Has Evolved

Since this 2010 case, breast augmentation safety has improved significantly. According to recent 2024-2025 meta-analyses, infection rates in modern breast augmentation now occur in approximately 1-4% of procedures when proper protocols are followed. The FDA implemented comprehensive safety updates in 2024, including mandatory patient decision checklists and enhanced warnings about rare complications like breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL).

Modern surgical techniques emphasize proper patient evaluation, sterile protocols, and realistic sizing to minimize complications like those experienced by Sheyla Hershey. Today’s surgeons use advanced screening to identify patients at high risk for complications, including those with autoimmune conditions or healing concerns. While no surgery is without risk, the combination of improved implant materials, refined surgical techniques, and comprehensive pre-operative assessments has made breast augmentation one of the most performed and safest cosmetic procedures when conducted by board-certified plastic surgeons in accredited facilities.

At Inland Cosmetic Surgery, patient safety remains our highest priority, with comprehensive consultations designed to assess candidacy, discuss realistic expectations, and create individualized surgical plans that prioritize both aesthetic goals and long-term health.

So you’re thinking about getting a tummy tuck. Are you hoping to achieve a flatter, firmer belly, get a more hourglass-like shape, or rid yourself of loose skin? A tummy tuck can indeed achieve all of these goals.

Of course, you also want your new shape to look beautiful and natural—and that takes more than just removing excess skin and tightening muscles. There’s one seemingly small part of the procedure that will greatly impact the overall appearance of your results: the belly button.

That’s because the navel is front and center, and often the first thing people notice when looking at your midriff. It’s especially important if your tummy tuck goals include feeling confident wearing a bikini…and not having people be able to instantly detect you’ve had the procedure after healing is complete.

Achieving a natural looking belly button after tummy tuck surgery is so important that our Inland Cosmetic surgeons perform “designer” belly button reshaping with each procedure, carefully shaping your belly button to best flatter your unique proportions.

A belly button that is too large and round, stretched and slit-like, or positioned too high or too low on the abdomen are tell-tale signs of tummy tuck surgery—that’s why, at Inland Cosmetic, we include the “Inland Innie” designer belly button reshaping with every abdominoplasty.

If you’re considering a tummy tuck, it’s worth a minute of your time to read on and learn just how much of a difference a beautiful belly button can make for you.

Our Cosmetic Surgeons

How the belly button separates a decent tummy tuck from a beautiful tummy tuck

The belly button is the most distinctive and central feature of a nice looking abdomen. It can also be a giveaway of a previous tummy tuck if not approached thoughtfully by the cosmetic surgeon. For instance, a belly button that is too large and round, stretched and slit-like, or positioned too high or too low on the abdomen are tell-tale signs of tummy tuck surgery—not the effect most patients wish to have when showing off their rejuvenated body.

Understanding the importance of the belly button is one factor that distinguishes true tummy tuck experts from the rest. There is no one single belly button shape or size that works for every patient, and a skilled cosmetic surgeon will customize their technique to create a naval that looks most natural with a patient’s torso length, shape, and size, and that best meets their desired belly button shape.

Our Inland Cosmetic surgeons are so passionate about creating beautiful belly buttons that we’ve developed our own technique, called the Inland Innie.

What does the “Inland Innie” look like?

In general, patients want an “innie” belly button. For the cosmetic surgeon, achieving this means ensuring (and often adding) a natural depth to the naval, with a nice, smooth envelope of skin above it. Our goal is to give our patients the most natural-looking belly button for their body with minimal scarring, so that no one can tell that they had it done.

There is a lot of finesse that goes into making an aesthetically pleasing belly button. The cosmetic surgeon must determine and remove precisely the right amount of tissue—even a tiny amount too much or too little can diminish the result. Suture placement is also essential to a natural result; there must be no detectable evidence of sutures even after they are removed.

What to expect: Your belly button healing timeline

Here’s what most of our Inland Innie patients experience:

Week 1: Initial healing begins

Right after surgery, your belly button will be covered with dressings and may look swollen, red, and slightly misshapen. This is completely normal—the area has just undergone significant surgical reshaping. You’ll notice swelling and some bruising around the belly button as your body begins its natural healing response. During this time, focus on keeping the area clean and dry as instructed.

Weeks 2-3: Swelling starts to subside

By the second and third weeks, you’ll notice the swelling beginning to decrease and your belly button starting to take on a more defined shape. Some scabbing around the incision is normal and expected as the area heals. The belly button may still look slightly pink or red, but this coloration will fade over time. This is when many patients start to see glimpses of their beautiful new Inland Innie taking form.

Weeks 4-6: Shape becomes more natural

Around the one to two-month mark, your belly button will look significantly more natural as swelling continues to resolve and the tissues settle into place. The area may still be slightly pink, but you’ll see the careful contouring and depth that makes the Inland Innie technique so distinctive. Sensitivity around the belly button will gradually decrease during this period.

Months 3-6: Refinement continues

By three to six months post-surgery, most residual swelling has resolved and your belly button looks refined and natural. Any scarring will be minimal and continue to fade, becoming lighter and flatter over time. The smooth envelope of skin above the belly button and the natural depth we created will be clearly visible.

Final results: 6-12 months

Your belly button reaches its final, permanent appearance around the one-year mark. At this point, all swelling is gone, scars have faded to barely noticeable fine lines, and your Inland Innie looks completely natural—as if you were simply born with a beautifully shaped belly button. The result is a belly button that harmonizes perfectly with your newly contoured abdomen, with no tell-tale signs of your tummy tuck.

Remember, everyone heals at their own pace. If you have any concerns about how your belly button is healing, don’t hesitate to contact our office. We’re here to support you throughout your entire tummy tuck journey.

Making sure your new belly button heals beautifully

Step one is choosing an experienced cosmetic surgeon with a reputation for creating natural looking belly buttons, and whose tummy tuck results you love. Step two is taking excellent care of your results to ensure optimal healing. First and foremost, follow your cosmetic surgeons’ aftercare instructions to the letter. For our tummy tuck patients, this includes keeping the area clean and dry and applying antibiotic ointment for several days.

Don’t stick marbles (or anything else) in your belly button while it’s healing

While we sometimes have a patient use a soft rubber ring or belly button marble after tummy tuck revision to help maintain shape in cases where there is extreme scarring or contracture to repair, this is something you should leave up to your surgeon! Don’t try this “trick” on your own based on what you read on the internet. In fact, placing a foreign object in your belly button can increase risk of infection and irritate healing incisions, both of which could ruin your end result. In most procedures, your tummy tuck surgeon’s skill and technique should be enough to create a beautiful, round “innie” belly button; no marble or other device should be necessary.

Social media is a hub for all things skincare and beauty, with users constantly sharing tips and tricks that promise high-end results with products you likely have at home or can find at drugstores or online for cheap. But do they really work? Here, Rancho Cucamonga cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jacob Haiavy weighs in on six viral beauty hacks to see if they truly live up to the hype—or if you’re better off sticking with proven professional treatments.

Green tea as a natural alternative to Ozempic

A new beauty and wellness hack making waves on social media claims that drinking green tea can mimic the effects of GLP-1 drugs, which are used for weight loss. GLP-1 medications mimic a hormone that helps regulate appetite and blood sugar to help you lose weight.

Green tea, on the other hand, contains antioxidants like catechins and a small amount of caffeine, which can boost metabolism and promote fat oxidation. It may be a refreshing beverage that offers mild health benefits, but there is no scientific evidence to suggest that green tea works similarly to GLP-1 drugs like semaglutide. Prescription weight loss medications act on specific receptors in the brain to influence hunger and satiety, a function that green tea simply does not replicate and thus cannot achieve the significant weight reduction that is possible with weight loss injections.

Tying hair ties to your ears to de-puff your face

It sounds crazy, but it’s true: one TikTok trend that has gained significant attention involves looping hair ties around your ears as a way to “de-puff” your face through lymphatic drainage. The idea is that the gentle pressure from the hair ties stimulates lymph nodes and helps move fluid out of your face to reduce swelling.

While it’s true that lymphatic drainage can help reduce puffiness in the face, particularly around the eyes, tying hair ties to your ears lacks the research to prove it’s a safe and reliable method. In fact, if tied too tightly, this hack could cause discomfort or cut off circulation. A professional lymphatic massage or using tools like a jade roller or gua sha can provide better (and safer) results for facial de-puffing and has the added benefit of being a more comfortable experience.

“I am so excited for my results!…Paulina is also amazing and was a huge part of my new chapter in life. I highly recommend lymphatic massages they feel great and they really work and make a huge difference. Don’t forget the Great conversations 🙂 A huge shout out to all the staff members truly the best!”

Dimple markers for temporary dimples

Another viral beauty hack making the rounds is using “dimple markers” to create temporary dimples on your cheeks. These devices use rods with rounded ends to press deep into the skin to leave indentations that resemble dimples when you smile.

While this hack can create a temporary impression on some people, the results are typically inconsistent and short-lived, and sometimes have no dimple effect at all. What can happen, however, is potential nerve damage in worst-case scenarios. There are several procedures that can safely and beautifully enhance your cheeks, such as cheek filler, to consider instead.

Plumping lip gloss for fuller lips

Lip plumping glosses have been a beauty staple for a while, but they’ve regained popularity on social media, with a new generation of influencers touting them as a way to achieve fuller lips without injections. These glosses usually contain ingredients like menthol or capsicum (a compound found in chili peppers) that cause mild irritation to the lips, causing them to slightly swell and redden.

If you desire a minimal and temporary plumping effect and can tolerate the product’s ingredients without discomfort, a lip plumping gloss may be a good option for you. But for more dramatic, longer-lasting results, lip filler injections offer more predictable and personalized results that last for several months.

Woman applying lip gloss for fuller lips

Christy is an excellent choice to use if you want lip filler or laser treatment. She has performed both of these treatments on me several times. She will give you the look you want. I have received many compliments on the texture of my skin, and my husband loves the lips.

Sleeping with Frownies, tape, or silicone patches to prevent wrinkles

The idea behind using tape or silicone patches overnight is that they can gently hold your facial muscles in place and prevent you from making wrinkle-causing expressions in your sleep.

There is some truth to this hack. Silicone patches, in particular, can help keep skin hydrated and reduce the appearance of fine lines while also limiting movement when wearing them. Using Frownies or tape to hold skin taut can prevent facial movements, which may temporarily reduce the deepening of wrinkles overnight. But once these products are removed, there’s nothing to prevent the muscle contractions that form and deepen dynamic wrinkles. Treatments like Botox, Dysport, and professional skin care regimens are more reliable and longer-lasting options to minimize and prevent expression-based lines.

Using face tape for an instant facelift

Face tape is another trending beauty hack that promises an instant facelift. Adhesive strips are placed behind your ears or along your hairline and then pulled to lift sagging skin and smooth wrinkles. The result is a tighter, more youthful appearance—at least for a few hours.

While face tape can create an instant lift for a special event or photoshoot, it’s a purely temporary solution. The tape needs to be hidden under hair or makeup and isn’t a practical long-term fix. It also takes a bit of practice to master applying it effectively. For a more lasting and natural-looking lift, procedures like a thread lift, a combination of neuromodulators and fillers (known as a “liquid facelift”), or non-surgical skin tightening treatments (like Ultherapy, Exilis, or RF microneedling) are better options for getting that coveted “snatched” look.  And for people with significant sagging, jowling, skin and muscle laxity Dr. Haiavy offers his most natural looking deep plane face and neck lift. He often combines those with brow lift and eyelid surgery or fat transfer for complete facial rejuvenation.

Visible scars are one of the top concerns patients have when they consult with our cosmetic surgeons about breast augmentation—they’re one of our top concerns too! Our goal is to help you make natural-looking improvements that no one else can tell came with surgery, and minimizing scars is a key factor in achieving this goal.

While there is no such thing as truly “scarless” breast augmentation surgery, the transumbilical, or TUBA breast augmentation, comes close. This highly specialized technique involves only a single incision in the natural folds of your belly button. Once healed, it’s virtually invisible.

To help you better understand the benefits and limitations of this procedure, we’ve answered some frequently asked questions about breast augmentation via the belly button.

Our Cosmetic Surgeons

Dr. Jacob Haiavy and Dr. Emma Ryan are passionate about cosmetic surgery. As diplomates of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, they have the expertise to personalize every aspect of your procedure and deliver safe, beautifully natural results.

Inland Cosmetic Surgery Drs. Jacob Haiavy and Emma Ryan, American Board of Cosmetic Surgery

What are the benefits of TUBA breast augmentation?

The lack of a breast scar is an obvious advantage of TUBA breast augmentation—but there are other perks to the procedure, including:

  • Reduced risk of infection. The limited incision reduces exposure to external bacteria.
  • Virtually eliminates risk for loss of nipple sensation associated with breast incisions.
  • TUBA breast augmentation recovery is often shorter, with less discomfort. There is much less tissue cutting with this technique, which usually leads to reduced pain and swelling and less downtime.
  • Belly button shape and size can be improved during the same surgery with no additional incisions or recovery.

How is TUBA breast augmentation performed?

TUBA breast augmentation is performed endoscopically, through a small J or C-shaped incision in the navel. The surgeon uses special instruments to create a pocket, or space, for your breast implants with the assistance of a tiny camera for vision. Each unfilled saline implant is inserted through the incision, carefully placed, and filled to the desired volume. Following surgery, the incision is closed, leaving no scarring on the breast.

Is TUBA breast augmentation safe? And will my results look as good as other methods?

When performed by a highly qualified cosmetic surgeon with specific training and experience in the procedure, transumbilical breast augmentation has an excellent safety profile. The same can be said about other breast augmentation techniques, but surgeon choice is even more important when you want TUBA.

Why? Surgeons who do not favor the procedure cite the difficulty in achieving breast symmetry and properly positioning implants from the navel access point. These surgeons are right to be concerned—TUBA breast augmentation is not an “easy” technique to learn, and unfortunately we do see poor outcomes from inexperienced surgeons (believe it or not, some doctors only take a weekend course in this complicated technique).

We don’t tell you this to scare you, but to emphasize the importance of doing your research before choosing a cosmetic surgeon for your TUBA breast augmentation. To ensure your safety as well as the beautiful outcome you deserve, verify a cosmetic surgeon’s training, board certification, and experience. Look for someone who has done hundreds (or even thousands) of TUBA surgeries, performs them on a regular basis, and operates exclusively in an accredited surgical facility. Also, view plenty of before and after photos and read patient reviews to get a feel for what you might expect.

What are the limitations of the TUBA technique?

Pros of TUBA outweigh the cons for many patients, but there are some limitations:

  • Only saline implants can be used
  • Very lean patients, or those who have scarring in the path of tunneles, may not have an adequate fat layer to create a “tunnel” for implant placement.
  • We cannot combine a breast lift with augmentation using only the belly button incision

No single breast augmentation technique is right for every patient, and a reputable cosmetic surgeon will take into account your anatomy, goals, desired implant type, and other factors to ensure the procedure is the right fit for you.

Can implants be placed under the muscle with TUBA breast augmentation?

Yes. Cosmetic surgeons who are true TUBA breast augmentation specialists can successfully perform submuscular breast augmentation through the belly button incision. This is another reason to verify your cosmetic surgeon’s training and experience with this procedure: endoscopically creating a breast pocket requires highly advanced skills and training.

Can you get silicone implants with the belly button incision?

This may be the only real “downside” to the TUBA breast augmentation—it can only be performed with saline implants. The uninflated shell can be moved easily up through the belly button incision and into the breast pocket, being filled at the time of surgery. Because silicone implants come prefilled, we must use another incision location. If you wish to avoid a breast incision but want the feel of silicone implants, consider transaxillary breast augmentation. Transaxillary incisions are located in the armpit.

What will my belly button look like after surgery?

The incision is made in the natural folds of the upper belly button. While you will temporarily have sutures there, a skilled cosmetic surgeon will create an incision that, once healed, either preserves your natural belly button shape and size, or improves upon it.

What is the recovery timeline for TUBA breast augmentation?

One of the biggest advantages of TUBA breast augmentation is the faster, more comfortable recovery compared to traditional techniques. Because we’re making minimal incisions and causing less tissue disruption, most patients experience significantly less downtime.

During the first few days, you’ll want to rest and avoid strenuous activities. Most patients can return to desk work and light daily activities within 3-5 days. You’ll wear a supportive surgical bra during this time to help your breasts settle into their new shape.

By week 2-3, you’ll feel much more like yourself and can gradually resume most normal activities, though you should still avoid heavy lifting and intense upper body exercise. By 6 weeks post-surgery, most patients are fully healed and cleared to return to all activities, including vigorous exercise and swimming.

Your breasts will continue to settle and soften over the next few months, with your final results visible around 3-6 months post-surgery. Throughout your recovery, our team will monitor your progress closely and provide personalized guidance to ensure optimal healing.

If TUBA breast augmentation is a good option, why don’t many surgeons perform it?

Just as we all have our preferred methods for doing our jobs, each cosmetic surgeon has preferred techniques for breast augmentation, which they will often tout as “the best” way to get the results you want.

Most surgeons are first trained in breast augmentation using direct breast incisions—under the breast or around the areolae—and thus they are more comfortable using these methods. These doctors are simply offering what they personally do best: breast augmentation with breast scars.

Because TUBA is a highly specialized method which requires more advanced skills, far fewer surgeons have trained in and gained experience in it. But the fact that it’s less common doesn’t mean it isn’t a superb option for saline breast augmentation: cosmetic surgeons who are highly experienced in TUBA can achieve consistently beautiful outcomes, without scars on the breasts.

Will my implant warranty be voided if I get TUBA breast augmentation?

There is a myth circulating that breast implant manufacturers void their warranties if implants are inserted via the belly button. This is not true. Moreover, transumbilical insertion of empty saline implants does not compromise their integrity in any way—we do not use anything sharp around them (or your breasts)!

How much does TUBA breast augmentation cost?

The cost of TUBA breast augmentation varies based on several factors, including your specific anatomical needs, the size and type of saline implants chosen, and whether any additional procedures (such as belly button reshaping) are included.

During your consultation at Inland Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Haiavy and Dr. Ryan will provide a detailed, transparent cost breakdown tailored to your specific surgical plan. This typically includes surgeon fees, anesthesia, facility costs, post-operative garments, and follow-up appointments.

We believe the investment in TUBA breast augmentation offers exceptional value: you’re getting the same beautiful, long-lasting results as traditional breast augmentation but with virtually no visible scarring, reduced recovery time, and less discomfort. Many patients find that the ability to avoid breast scars and minimize downtime makes TUBA well worth the investment. We’re happy to discuss financing options during your consultation to make your goals more accessible.

Many patients, whether they are regular users or are considering marijuana for pain management, are curious about how cannabis might impact their cosmetic surgery experience. Below, our California cosmetic surgeons address some of the most frequently asked questions about cannabis use and aesthetic surgery procedures.

Can I use cannabis before my surgery?

No, it is not safe to use cannabis in any form before your surgery. Cannabis, especially when smoked, can affect your airways and lung function, making it more difficult to place a breathing tube and increasing the risks of other anesthesia complications. The psychoactive component in cannabis (THC) can interact with anesthesia and potentially lead to unpredictable effects, particularly when your anesthesia is wearing off. THC can also cause the body to break down anesthesia medications faster than normal and require your anesthesiologist to administer high doses of the medicine for proper sedation and pain control.

To ensure your safety, please avoid all cannabis use at least four weeks before your surgery. This allows enough time for the substances to clear from your system and minimize any risks associated with anesthesia and surgical recovery.

Cannabis burns at a higher temperature than tobacco and may cause more acute airway irritation than regular cigarettes.

Will smoking marijuana affect my recovery?

Yes, smoking marijuana can make it harder for your body to heal after surgery, as can using cannabis products in other forms.

Smoking reduces oxygen levels in the blood, which you need for wound healing, and a lack of oxygenated blood can also increase the risk of other health complications. Delayed wound healing leaves you vulnerable to infection and extends your recovery period and may even impact your results.

THC can also affect blood platelets and potentially limit your body’s blood clotting abilities. Poor blood clotting can cause excessive bleeding during and after surgery.

Share any cannabis use with our cosmetic surgeons so we can make a plan together

If you need to use cannabis for medical reasons, talk with your cosmetic surgeon about the possibility of switching to a non-smoking method of cannabis consumption, such as edibles. In all cases, cannabis consumption must be cleared with one of our cosmetic surgeons during your medical evaluation in the initial consultation, before choosing a surgical date.

What about vaping—does it carry the same risks as smoking weed before surgery?

Vaping is not a safer alternative to smoking. This method has been associated with lung injuries and respiratory issues, which can complicate both your procedure and recovery. Please avoid vaping for at least four weeks before and after your surgery to reduce any potential risks.

Very satisfied with the result of my procedure. My overall experience was amazing and everyone made me feel very comfortable, calm and collected before and after my procedure.”

Can I use cannabis for pain management after my surgery?

While cannabis has been shown to help manage certain types of pain, it is not an effective pain management method after surgery. Research indicates that THC can actually increase your sensitivity to pain. In fact, some studies suggest that cannabis may increase pain levels: patients who used cannabis after surgery required more opioid pain medication than those who didn’t use cannabis.

Does CBD have the same effects as THC when it comes to surgery?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive component of cannabis and has more of a sedating effect versus the mind-altering effects of THC. While some patients find CBD or other cannabinoids helpful for reducing mild anxiety and chronic pain, its effects on surgical outcomes are not well-studied. Third-party testing has also reported that many products that advertise being “pure” CBD oil still contain high levels of THC. Let your surgeon know if you use CBD products so they can guide you on how long to pause its use in any form before and after surgery.

It’s crucial your anesthesiologist is informed about your cannabis use so they can adjust your anesthesia plan accordingly. It can take 10x the medication to put a patient who uses cannabis under anesthesia.

What are the alternatives to cannabis for managing pain after surgery?

Alternatives to marijuana after surgery include prescription pain medications, over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen, and non-drug approaches such as cold therapy, heat therapy, and relaxation techniques. Other complementary medications, such as muscle relaxers, may also be prescribed to improve comfort after surgery.

At Inland Cosmetic Surgery, your safety and comfort are our priority—we don’t want you to be in pain! We have several pain relief options to use before, during, and after surgery to keep you as comfortable as possible. We tailor each recovery plan to align with your comfort preferences and medical needs.

What should I do if I accidentally consume cannabis before my surgery?

If you accidentally consume cannabis before your surgery, please give us a call as soon as possible. There’s no need to be embarrassed or try and hide it—we can adjust your care plan to account for any potential effects of cannabis to safely move forward with your procedure.

Laser skin resurfacing is one of the most effective ways to improve the skin’s appearance: it can treat a variety of skin concerns including wrinkles, acne scars, age spots, sun damage, and more—plus there are safe options for most patients, whatever your skin tone.

During treatment, laser energy of a safe wavelength is emitted in quick pulses which penetrate the surface of the skin to stimulate your body’s regenerative processes. While the procedure itself is quick and simple, laser skin resurfacing is only safe when performed by a skilled laser technician—this is because treatments must first be carefully chosen and tuned to treat your skin without causing damage. This is especially critical for patients with deeper complexions.

You should also be sure your provider uses the latest laser technology, which, thanks to more recent advancements, is both safer and more effective. One of the best non-ablative lasers is Cutera Laser Genesis, which can help accomplish your desired aesthetic goals in just a few treatments. Here, we explain this innovative laser treatment and share our expert answers to 9 laser treatment FAQs.

Conditions Cutera Laser Genesis can treat

Cutera Laser Genesis improves the appearance of more than 20 cosmetic and dermatologic concerns on the face and body, including:

  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Facial veins
  • Leg veins and vessels
  • Spider veins
  • Rosacea
  • Acne
  • Brown/age spots
  • Scars
  • Birthmarks and port wine stains
  • Fine lines and wrinkles.

Dual-laser treatment for comprehensive results

Setting Cutera Laser Genesis apart from other technology, the Excel V+ device allows your technician to combine two non-ablative lasers to target skin concerns. They can be used alone or together to synergistically achieve visible skin rejuvenation and toning.

  • The 532nm laser targets blood vessels closer to the skin and is recommended for correcting discoloration and treating facial and spider veins.
  • The 1064nm Nd: YAG laser targets deep blood vessels and darker pigmentation and is recommended for improving skin tone and texture, treating scars, and boosting collagen production.

This makes treatment choices more complex, making your choice of provider even more important. At Ahava Medspa, our highly-trained aestheticians tailor laser energy settings to achieve maximum results without compromising your tissues.

1. Is laser skin resurfacing worth it?

When compared with the cost of other treatments or skincare that claim to give similar results, laser skin resurfacing is usually “worth it.” While laser treatment is an investment, it is proven to provide quick, visible, lasting results which few non-surgical options can match.

This is because laser skin resurfacing stimulates collagen and elastin production—the proteins that keep your skin smooth and plump—and thus offers near-immediate improvement of cosmetic concerns while also continuing to support a smoother, refreshed complexion over time. For those looking to improve the appearance of cosmetic imperfections on their face and body and enhance the overall appearance of their skin without surgery or downtime, it’s usually an excellent choice.

Choosing a reputable medspa under the direction of a cosmetic surgeon will ensure you receive the most advanced, research-based treatments that have been vetted for safety and efficacy by the most knowledgeable physicians and scientists in cosmetic medicine. To further perfect treatment, check that your provider uses imaging technology, such as a VISIA Digital Skin Analysis, to examine your skin and guide you to the optimal treatments to achieve your goals.

2. Do they numb you before laser treatments?

When considering pain management for laser resurfacing, your technician will take into account the technology, treatment settings, specific area being treated, and your individual preferences. A numbing cream or gel may be applied to minimize discomfort and/or a special device tip may be used to help cool and soothe the area—with these measures, most patients report only a tolerable intermittent snapping sensation during Cutera Laser Genesis treatment.

That said, laser procedures and individual tolerances vary, so, whatever treatment you choose, never hesitate to ask a provider to pause the procedure and take further measures to increase your personal comfort.

3. Does your face peel after laser resurfacing?

Whether or not your skin will peel after laser resurfacing largely depends on the class of laser treatment you choose. Your skin is unlikely to peel after a nonablative laser treatment, but will be likely to peel after certain types of ablative laser resurfacing (there are also fractional options which treat a percentage of the skin’s surface in a pattern to reduce post-ablative laser treatment peeling). In any case, you should know exactly what will happen in advance: generally, lasers have predictable side effects that a caring technician will explain in detail prior to scheduling treatment.

Cutera Laser Genesis is considered to be non-ablative so you will not experience dramatic overall skin peeling: instead, treated brown spots will darken, come to the skin’s surface, and gradually flake off 3-5 days after treatment. This partial peeling happens because only the most highly pigmented areas of the skin will absorb the laser energy and so only skin cells that contain discoloration (i.e., age spots, freckles, etc.) are destroyed.

Patients may resume their normal routines immediately after Cutera Laser Genesis treatment; however, some patients may prefer to plan social downtime or conceal darkened spots with makeup prior to completion of the shedding process.

While laser treatment is an investment, it is proven to provide quick, visible, lasting results which few non-surgical options can match.

4. How long do the effects last?

Laser skin rejuvenation effects are long-lasting, though your skin will continue aging and new signs of aging will develop over time. Each person experiences the natural aging process differently, but typical laser effects can last anywhere from 3-5 years. Some concerns, such as scarring, are exempt from this estimation as the reduction or elimination of a scar’s appearance is permanent—the scar will not return.

5. How often should you have skin resurfacing?

Depending on the location of the desired treatment area, your skincare goals, and the level of treatment needed to achieve them, you may benefit from a series of treatments to see complete skin resurfacing results. Most patients are pleased with their improvements with just 1-2 Laser Genesis Treatments scheduled about 6 weeks apart—an additional treatment may be recommended to see optimal results for more significant cosmetic concerns. You’ll likely notice visible improvement in just a few weeks, and those effects will continue to improve over the following several months as the amplified collagen and elastin production processes are carried out.

Because laser skin resurfacing results are long-lasting, most patients only need to schedule touch-up treatments every few years to maintain a fresh appearance, or as they notice symptoms they want to address. The best way to extend the longevity of your results is to use a physician-grade sunscreen every day! This way you will be certain you are getting the advertised level of UV protection (lesser quality sunscreens do not always meet the label’s claimed protection levels).

6. Is laser resurfacing good for deep wrinkles?

Laser treatment alone will usually not erase the deepest wrinkles; these usually require additional modalities such as neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, or a surgical lifting procedure to be significantly improved. That said, laser skin resurfacing can be an important part of an overall treatment plan to soften the appearance of deep facial wrinkles.

Lasers are best suited for treating more moderate or fine wrinkles, especially those caused by environmental factors such as sun damage; some laser systems are more effective than others at treating significant wrinkles.

  • MiXto® skin resurfacing treatments use a customizable CO2 (carbon dioxide) laser to safely heat the skin to instigate shedding of damaged outer layers. As your skin heals, new skin cells refresh the outer layers of your skin, minimizing or erasing the appearance of wrinkles and many other skin concerns.
  • ICON laser skin resurfacing treatments may also be recommended to treat deeper wrinkles. Like the Cutera Excel V+, this system offers 2 laser wavelength options to address multiple skin concerns using a single device. The IPL wavelength stimulates wound healing and reduces a number of pigmentation irregularities, while the 1540nm wavelength boosts collagen and elastin production to plump the skin, improve scars and stretch marks, and treat deeper wrinkles.

An experienced laser technician and aesthetic specialist will discuss your goals and concerns with you and examine your skin before recommending the best type of treatment to safely achieve your goals and enhance the health of your skin.

7. Are laser treatments better than BOTOX®?

Both laser skin resurfacing and BOTOX are common medspa treatment options, but they work in entirely different ways—so we would say that one is not better than the other, but rather, that it is best to take advantage of both!

Here’s how they compare. Laser treatments reduce skin imperfections by delivering targeted light energy which can be used to destroy unwanted pigment irregularities, accelerate cell turnover, and smooth the skin. In contrast, BOTOX is an injectable neurotoxin that temporarily reduces muscle contractions that cause expression lines and wrinkles.

If you are looking for a temporary treatment to soften or prevent expression-based lines and wrinkles, you will likely be pleased with BOTOX injections. If you want an overall improvement in your skin’s texture and pigmentation with long-lasting results, laser treatments are the treatment of choice. Can’t decide? You don’t have to! Many patients combine laser treatments with BOTOX injections to experience long-lasting improvement in their skin’s health and appearance. That said, we will recommend scheduling the treatments on different days and likely begin with your BOTOX treatment; this will help you see an immediate, dramatic improvement in your appearance and allow your aesthetician to tune your laser treatment to target your remaining concerns.

8. How much does laser skin resurfacing cost?

The cost of laser skin resurfacing varies based on the specific treatment, the size of the area being treated, and the number of sessions needed to achieve your goals. At Inland Cosmetic Surgery, we offer several laser options at different price points to fit various budgets and aesthetic needs.

Non-ablative treatments like Cutera Laser Genesis are typically more affordable and require less recovery time, while more intensive options like MiXto® CO2 laser resurfacing represent a higher investment but deliver more dramatic results. During your consultation, we’ll provide transparent pricing tailored to your specific treatment plan. Many patients find that the long-lasting results—often 3-5 years—make laser resurfacing a worthwhile investment compared to temporary solutions that require frequent repeat treatments.

9. Who is an ideal candidate for laser skin resurfacing?

Most adults concerned about signs of aging, sun damage, or skin texture are excellent candidates for laser treatments. You may benefit from laser skin resurfacing if you’re experiencing fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, uneven skin tone, or loss of skin firmness. We typically see patients starting in their 30s and 40s when early signs of aging become noticeable, though laser treatments can benefit individuals at various life stages.

The best way to determine if laser resurfacing is right for you is through a personalized consultation where we can assess your skin type, discuss your goals, and recommend the safest, most effective treatment options for your unique complexion.

The number of boys and men experiencing gynecomastia has been on the rise in the past several years. While the reasons behind this increase have yet to be fully understood, it has led to increased interest in male breast reduction surgery for gynecomastia. If you are one of the many people researching your options for treating “man boobs” and creating a smoother, more masculine chest appearance, here’s what you need to know.

Gynecomastia has two possible causes: excess fat and excess glandular tissue

Gynecomastia is excess male breast tissue, or any type of extra tissue in the chest. This excess tissue may be composed mostly of fat, glandular tissue, or some of both. Identifying the type of tissue behind your enlarged male breasts is a critical first step in developing an effective surgical plan.

Surgery can include liposuction, direct gland excision, or both

If fat removal is all that is required to achieve your surgical goals, then we can use liposuction to remove the fat. Liposuction requires a very small incision, about the diameter of a pencil eraser, on either side of the chest. Your surgeon uses a hollow tube called a cannula to break up the fat and remove it using suction.

If you have glandular tissue that will need to be removed in surgery, you may require a slightly lengthier incision to give your surgeon full access to the tissue; this procedure is known as gland excision. The incision will be carefully placed around the edge of the nipple-areola complex, the darker rim of which conceals the scar as it heals. With proper care, incisions can heal to be unnoticeable.

Researching a well-qualified, talented cosmetic surgeon is key

Male breast reduction should not be taken lightly. Like any cosmetic surgery, it requires a specialist who is well-versed in best practices, for both your safety and optimal aesthetic outcomes.

When researching a surgeon, look for impressive before-and-after photos of previous patients on the surgeon’s website and/or social media accounts, as well as many positive reviews on platforms like Google and Real Patient Ratings. Schedule a consultation to learn what they recommend for you, and make sure that the surgeon and their team are working to help you make an informed decision.

A mommy makeover makes a lot of sense if you’re finished having kids and ready to get your body back! But it can be hard to picture such a dramatic transformation, as mommy makeovers usually include both breast surgery and abdominal contouring all in one surgery—and sometimes even lipo in other areas.

Here, we’re sharing 4 recent mommy makeover transformations to help you get a sense of what can be accomplished by a skilled cosmetic surgeon.

Mommy Makeover #1: Breast Re-Augmentation & Lift + Tummy Tuck + a Little Lipo

This patient was left with abdominal stretch marks and breast ptosis (sagging) after having kids. Dr. Emma Ryan performed a tummy tuck to tighten the abdominal muscles and remove excess skin, along with some of her stretch marks, and used liposuction to refine the shape of her lower back and waist.

For her breast surgery, Dr. Ryan performed a bilateral capsulorrhaphy to refine the shape and position of her existing breast implant pockets, a breast lift to raise them higher on the chest, and re-augmentation with new breast implants to restore fullness in the upper pole and create a gorgeous breast shape.

Mommy Makeover #2: Breast Implants + Tummy Tuck + Liposuction of the Back and Waist

This patient was left with stubborn fat deposits, as well as stretch marks and loose skin on the abdomen, after childbearing. Dr. Haiavy performed a breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and liposuction in the lower back and waist. This combination created a more overall hourglass figure from all angles! While tightening her muscles, Dr. Haiavy also repaired a small umbilical hernia she had since pregnancy. And by removing the excess skin along the abdomen, we also reduced some of her stretch marks from pregnancy.

Breast Implants + Tummy Tuck + Liposuction of the Back and Waist

Mommy Makeover #3: Breast Lift and Reduction + Tummy Tuck + VASER Liposuction of the Waist and Thighs

This lovely patient wanted a natural lift to her breasts, improved abdominal contour, and slimmer thighs where she had diet- and exercise-resistant fat deposits. Dr. Emma Ryan performed her mommy makeover with a breast lift, breast reduction, tummy tuck, and VASER-assisted liposuction of the waist, inner thighs, and outer thighs.

Mommy Makeover #4: Breast Augmentation with a Lift and Mini-Reduction + Extended Tummy Tuck + VASER Lipo

This mommy makeover patient received a classic combination of breast surgery, liposuction, and tummy tuck, but Dr. Haiavy extended her tummy tuck to tighten excess skin along her sides, in addition to the abdomen. He also used VASER liposuction on her lower back and waist to further refine the contours. We love how gorgeous and natural her curves look now!
