Eyelid Lift in Rancho Cucamonga
Aging eyes can make you look tired or even angry, but they’re no match for our experienced cosmetic surgeons
The eyes account for a large part of the expression of the human face: they project an array of emotions including happiness, sorrow and fear. It is the contour of the skin, muscles, fat, hair, and lashes around the eyes that convey these expressions.
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is an operation that corrects sagging eyelids as well as bags and bulges about the eyes. These conditions may occur as a result of aging or as a result of genetic predisposition in younger individuals, which leads to laxity of the eyelid skin and protrusion of fat around the eyes. The result can be marked changes in expression causing a tired and an older appearance and, in severe cases of skin laxity, visual impairment.
The blepharoplasty procedure that we perform can restore your youthful look and improve the way people see you.

The eyelid surgery procedure
Both upper and lower eyelid lift surgery can be performed either under general anesthesia or under local anesthesia in which the area is numbed. Following the natural lines and creases, one of our cosmetic surgeons will make a small incision in the eyelid skin. Through these incisions, excess skin, fat, and/or muscle is removed based on the individual problems. In certain cases, a laser can be used to perform the operation. The laser helps minimize post-operative swelling and bruising.
The entire staff ranging from office, patient coordinator, surgeon and anesthesiologist showed the highest level of professionalism and customer service. During my follow up visits I was shown concern and care from the staff and doctor. I feel more confident and am happy when I look in the mirror.Real Inland Cosmetic Surgery patient Read more patient reviews
Eyelid surgery can be combined with skin tightening, laser resurfacing, or a chemical peel of the lower eyelid to help rejuvenate the skin and decrease the lines in the lower eyelid skin and crow’s feet area.
In cases where there is bulging fat without excess skin in the lower eyelid, the procedure can be carried out through an incision inside the lower eyelid. This procedure is called transconjuctival blepharoplasty. In addition to avoiding a scar on the lower eyelid, it also minimizes chances of developing post-operative complications such as lid lag.
Recovery after eyelid surgery
Most of our patients report very little discomfort after an eyelid lift, though we can prescribe medication to help with any pain in the first few days. Your incisions will have sutures for about a week, but you won’t leave the office with bandaging.
Some swelling and discoloration are normal, but this should resolve within around 10 days, and patients can use makeup on the area after the first week to camouflage any residual bruising. You’ll likely be feeling up to your normal activities in about a week, though you’ll need to avoid strenuous tasks and exercise for at least two weeks.
