A Non-Surgical Nose Surgery With Injectable Fillers
The nose is a central feature of a person’s face. A non-surgical nose job can help improve the appearance of the nose with the injection of fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane or Juvederm. This can improve the appearance of nasal bumps, a flat nose or a drooping tip and can soften sharp angles safely and quickly without the recovery involved with a surgical procedure. This is also a good way to find out how your nose may look like after rhinoplasty surgery for someone who is contemplating the procedure but is not sure of the outcome.
How the Procedure Works
Dr. Haiavy has been performing non-surgical nose jobs for more than 10 years. The procedure takes about 15 to 30 minutes to complete. A topical numbing cream or some local anesthesia may be applied first. Special blunt needles are used to fill in depressions, smooth bumps, or to add projection to a flat nose or a flat tip. The procedure is done with your active participation and feedback as you can see the results in the mirror immediately. There is some minor swelling immediately after the procedure which resolves fairly quickly. Patients usually go back to their work or normal routine shortly after the treatment. Bruising is rare with non-surgical rhinoplasty.
Radiesse is a safe FDA-approved filler for deep lines and wrinkles on the face. It is made of calcium hyroxy-appetite and can last nine to 12 months. Dr. Haiavy and Dr. Tower use it for structural contouring of facial features such as the nose, cheeks, chin and jaw line. When injected repeatedly, this material has been shown to stimulate some native collagen production. Non-surgical rhinoplasty patients usually get this injection once a year.
Restylane and Juvederm are safe and reliable injectable fillers made of hyaluronic acids, a compound that exists naturally in our bodies. These fillers can also be used for non-surgical rhinoplasty. They are hydrophilic and provide results that can last six to nine months.
