Non-Surgical Cheek Augmentation in Inland Empire

Give your cheeks a little boost without the cost or downtime of surgery

High cheek bones and fuller cheeks have always been a sign of youth and health in our society. As people age, they may lose some of the volume in their cheeks and some skin elasticity. This results in the appearance of hollow eyes and cheeks as well as sagging of the cheek itself, leading to deeper laugh lines and a tired look in the face.

Restoring volume in the cheeks gives the effect of a mid-facelift, leading to a more youthful appearance and a lessening of visible nasolabial folds (laugh lines). There are many ways to lift and fill the cheeks, such as a mid-face lift, traditional face lift, placement of an implant, the injection of fat to the area, or a filler injection.

With a non-surgical cheek augmentation, we use fillers such as Juvéderm VOLUMA, Radiesse, or Restylane to restore volume to the cheeks and eyelid junction.

  • Instant Volume Enhancement: Dermal fillers provide immediate results, adding volume and fullness to the cheeks for a more youthful appearance.
  • Improved Facial Contours: Fillers can enhance the overall shape and contour of the face, providing better balance and a more aesthetically pleasing profile.
  • Reduced Appearance of Aging Signs: By restoring lost volume in the cheeks, dermal fillers can diminish the appearance of sagging, wrinkles, and fine lines.
  • Minimally Invasive: Unlike surgical augmentation, non-surgical cheek enhancement with fillers is minimally invasive, involving injections rather than incisions.
  • No Downtime Required: Recovery time is minimal, allowing patients to return to their daily activities almost immediately after the procedure.
  • Customizable Results: The amount and placement of fillers can be tailored to meet individual aesthetic goals, ensuring natural-looking and personalized outcomes.
  • Temporary and Reversible: If the results are not as desired, many types of fillers are reversible, or they will naturally dissolve over time.
  • Safe and Effective: When performed by a qualified practitioner, cheek augmentation with fillers is safe and has a high rate of patient satisfaction.
  • Low Risk of Complications: Non-surgical cheek augmentation carries a lower risk of complications compared to cheek implant surgery.
  • Short Procedure Time: The treatment is quick, often taking only 30 minutes to an hour, making it convenient even for busy individuals.
  • Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA): A substance used in Radiesse, a dermal filler for cheek augmentation, known for stimulating natural collagen production and providing long-lasting results.
  • Cannula: A flexible tube used to inject fillers in cheek augmentation, reducing the risk of bruising and swelling compared to needles.
  • Cheek Augmentation: A procedure to enhance the volume and contours of the cheeks, often using injectable fillers.
  • Cheek Fillers: Injectable substances used in non-surgical cheek augmentation to add volume and shape to the cheeks. Common fillers include hyaluronic acid, CaHA, and poly-L-lactic acid.
  • Cheek Implants: Surgically inserted devices designed to add permanent volume and contour to the cheeks. They are a more invasive, although permanent, alternative to cheek fillers..
  • Dermal Fillers: Materials injected beneath the skin to add volume and contour, used in procedures like non-surgical cheek augmentation.
  • Facial Contouring: Reshaping and defining facial features, such as enhancing the cheeks with fillers.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: A substance found naturally in the skin, used in dermal fillers like Juvéderm and Restylane for cheek augmentation.
  • Injection Points: Specific areas on the cheeks where augmentation fillers are injected.
  • Juvéderm: A brand of dermal filler made from hyaluronic acid, often used for cheek augmentation due to its smooth consistency and long-lasting results.
  • Malar Area: The upper cheek, frequently targeted in cheek augmentation to enhance cheekbone prominence.
  • Non-Surgical Cheek Augmentation: Enhancing cheek volume and shape using injectable fillers, without surgical intervention.
  • Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA): A synthetic filler used in products like Sculptra, effective for long-term cheek augmentation and stimulating collagen production.
  • Radiesse: A dermal filler brand known for its use of calcium hydroxylapatite, providing volume and stimulating collagen in cheek augmentation.
  • Recovery Time: The period post-procedure for healing, usually minimal in non-surgical cheek augmentation.
  • Restylane: A hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler used for cheek augmentation, known for its effectiveness in adding volume and contouring.
  • Volumization: The act of adding volume, as in enhancing the cheeks with fillers for a fuller appearance.

How does non-surgical cheek augmentation work?

Non-surgical cheek augmentation is much safer and less costly than traditional cheek implants or a surgical facelift. There is no significant recovery time with non-surgical cheek enhancement, and most patients can return to work immediately after their treatment.

To minimize the risk of bruising, Dr. Jacob Haiavy, Dr. Irene Tower, and Dr. Emma Ryan use special blunt needles for the injection and sculpting of the cheeks. There is some mild swelling, and you may feel sore afterward, but soreness will typically dissipate within a few hours. Swelling resolves within a day or so, and if bruising occurs, it is usually gone in a matter of days.
